    Geriatric Nursing Assistant

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Geriatric Nursing Assistant will be responsible for giving direct care to promote the residents’ safety and comfort, while recognizing their needs and rights. Successful candidates must be dependable, compassionate, have good time management and communication skills, and have a desire to work with the elderly. Requirements also include CPR certification and a current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification.     Description This person will be responsible for dusting, mopping, and various types of floor care. Additional functions will include cleaning wheelchairs; disposing of refuse/waste in a safe manner; disinfecting assigned areas, equipment and furniture; and servicing assigned areas to ensure that the facility is clean, attractive and safe for employees, residents and visitors.
    Required Skills Experienced in all types of floor care. Must be reliable, energetic, have a strong work ethic, and enjoy working with the elderly. Housekeeping experience a must.

    Schedule Various hours during the week, plus some weekends.

    Nursing Supervisor

    Description Channel Your Talents! St. Mary’s Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a 160-bed long-term care and rehabilitation facility in historic Leonardtown, Maryland, has an immediate need for a Nursing Supervisor to work evening and night shifts, including some weekends. This position is responsible for assuring adequate staffing coverage on all units and for assuming facility-wide oversight for nursing staff, services, and activities on all units.
    Required Skills The successful candidate will possess an LPN or RN license (RN desired), long-term care experience, excellent interpersonal skills, good documentation and critical thinking skills. Supervisory background desired.
