Under the supervision of a licensed nurse, the Geriatric Nursing Assistant will be responsible for giving direct care to promote the residents’ safety and comfort, while recognizing their needs and rights. Successful candidates must be dependable, compassionate, have good time management and communication skills, and have a desire to work with the elderly. Requirements also include CPR certification and a current Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant certification.     Payroll Administrator

    Description St. Mary’s Nursing Center has an immediate need for a Payroll Administrator. The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing the payroll for approximately 220 exempt and non-exempt employees as well as performing all tasks related to the payroll function. This is a full-time position for a dependable self-starter with payroll experience. Responsibilities include: 1) • Manage the day-to-day operations of payroll administration, time reporting, taxes and garnishments. 2) • Ensure accuracy of all government reporting requirements for payroll taxes, withholding and employer contributions. 3) • Ensure timely and accurate calculation and delivery of employee pay, deductions, taxes, etc. including time reporting. 4)• Interface with auditors, providing information and documentation as required. 5) • Answer employee questions and resolve problems. 6) • Maintain and audit PTO accrual. 7) • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to various managers as requested. 8) • Other duties as assigned.
    Required Skills Required skills include: 1) A minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll desired; 2) Experience with Great Plains and/or KRONOS preferred; 3) Knowledge of payroll, time reporting and other HR systems, processes, regulations, and policies; and 4) Knowledge of payroll, time reporting and other HR systems, processes, regulations, and policies.

    Dietary Aide

    Description Channel Your Talents! St. Mary’s Nursing Center, Inc., a 160-bed long-term care and rehabilitation facility in historic Leonardtown, Maryland, has an immediate need for a Cook/Dietary Aide. This is a part-time position for an energetic team player with experience in food service.
    Required Skills Duties include assembling food trays, transporting food carts, and serving food to residents. Other responsibilities include cleaning of food prep areas and helping to maintain kitchen area. Must be mature, reliable and have a genuine concern for the welfare of others. Food service experience desired. All applicants subject to criminal background check and drug test.
